I broke the neon tube. Can I fix it?
We're sorry that your neon light has broke, we know how disappointing it can be 😔. Once the glass tube is broken the contained gasses escape and it will no longer work, even if glued back together. Unfortunately, once broken there is no way to fix it. Neon is a non-toxic natural gas, and the small amounts used in our neon signs pose no health risk.
All of our neon lights are hand-blown from glass and bent into their design. The glass tube, mounting base and power supply are packaged as complete units from our production facility and delivered to our warehouses for shipment to our customers. We don't have just the glass tubes available for purchase, our apologies.
We understand your situation is disappointing so we ask you to please contact our support team with:
- Photos of your broken light
- A photo of the product code sticker found on the bottom of the base
- Your Amped & Co order number (starting with ACCA or AC) or proof of purchase from another retailer (photo of receipt)
We would be happy to provide you with a special discount for the purchase of a new neon light. 💡
Contact Us - select "Replacements" then "Neon Glass" in the drop-down menu.
Replacement Cords and Neon Bases
For replacement power cords or bases contact support. We do hold stock of both power adapters and bases in our head office to ship replacements for lost or damaged parts. Use the contact form -> Contact Us and select "Replacements" then "Parts & Accessories" in the drop-down menu.
How do I check for breakage?
Look for tiny cracks in the glass tube. The black painted areas can also crack and release the neon gas if pressure is used to push/pull the tube, especially during assembly or removal from the base. Also, look at the powder coating on the inside of the glass tube, if it appears dusty or spotted or clearly visible (uneven) in areas, it is likely there is a tiny crack somewhere that the gas escaped from.
